This is a very interesting idea. Chrysler needs some serious help after being destroyed by the Germans and GM is finally starting to make good, solid cars again. But is this just a case of two wrongs not making a right? GM needs another brand (Chrysler has three) like Vegas needs another casino. There are parts that fit, GM has all but given up on the minivan and mid-size SUV markets and Chrysler hasn't thrown in the white towel on those segments just yet and still makes some solid products (Chrysler T&C, 2009 Dodge Ram, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Jeep Wrangler). Plus Chrysler could use GM's help in making a decent interior. The real thing to remember here is that GM Vice Chairman Robert Lutz was running Chrysler before Daimler came knocking back in the 90's when Chrysler still made decent looking cars and trucks and buckets of money. Time will tell if these talks go anywhere but it isn't a bad idea but it may be too big to work.
